High school students need to develop strong comprehension to be successful in school. In this program, students build comprehension by reading and discussing a classic novel, and through use of an interactive DVD designed specifically for the book they are reading. As a result, they learn to more deeply explore character, setting, plot, story structure, and meaning.

Students also learn a comprehensive approach to reading fiction and non-fiction. They learn to preview material, improve concentration and retention, and identify and keep track of main ideas and events.

Students who participate in this program make substantial gains in reading comprehension, They learn to take control of their school and personal reading, are better prepared to succeed in school, and get better scores on the SAT and ACT tests.
